Great stuff - not a surprise as they've always been Goldfrapp-friendly, especially during the smock-tastic 7T era, but still a very nice bit of news to read :)
A million fires before your harvest comes. To burn out. Wear the mask of a heathen. For the moon's lonely eyes.
So, I'm a bit confused. It's okay for radio stations to play it? That's not considered leaking? If so, then the way early release makes more sense to me. And, Hooray!!!.
Blue Dog on Capital City Radio, NPR out of Sacremento, Ca just played Drew!
Seriously never thought I would hear Goldfrapp on the radio in the states for te last few years (mostly because I don't listen to the radio but also since I don't think US radio ha played Goldfrapp since Strict Machine or possibly Ooh La La)...such a cool feeling I must say.
I'm borrowing a truck to move some boxes and I have NPR on quietly and had just pulled up to my old house and was getting ready to get out of the truck and then bam! Had to sit an listen to the whole thing. The announcer said right after (I might not get it exactly right), "That's the new one from Goldfrapp. In case you thought Goldfrapp was only 'un un un tah, un un un tah' (a typical 4/4 dance beat sound) I submit this song for your listening pleasure. It is the first single Drew from their new album which drops in just a couple weeks and when it shows up on my desk I'll be playing more on Blue Dog...."
That is really cool! I am psyched that more of ToU will get played. I guess I shouldn't get too excited, since it is just one station but it would be nice to see it ripple through all of NPR and the webstie, as well.
I just started knocking around the NPR website and find it fascinating. It is the most refreshing site for news. Something about it is more....civilized.
