I just had a thought that really annoyed me. Is this not only drama but manufactured drama? As I was skimming threads last night (you know how this forum does - sends you back to the last one you read), I ran across a post from Alan dated June 25 (no idea which thread) that stated something about an upcoming trip. And, I started thinking, that would explain both his furious posting activity over the last month or so and the manufactured drama of his leave-taking. He knew he would be gone for long enough that someone might top him on the "Top Posters" list which he seems to dearly love and give him a fun farewell before his trip.
Sorry, if this seems like a cheap shot but I've just run across too much of manufactured existences on the web to enjoy the experience. I've run across folks who's complete existence and everything they said was fictional. And, honestly, this seems manufactured.

Alan is a walking Hollyoaks Geordie Shore but without the good acting .
