Gig Review - "Tales of Us" Premiere, Manchester 17th July 2013

    Hi everyone,

    Long term Goldfrapp fan but first time poster here - met a few people from the forum last night so thought I'd pop along!

    I've spent my morning (post-bacon sandwich) doing a review of last night's gig, which you can read here if you fancy it. There are also a few rubbish iPhone photos.

     Hi James. Welcome back! Great review mate, & it was a pleasure talking to you about our shared (& perfectly natural) obsession with Goldfrapp, but also the ponderings & merits of Phil Collins & his roller coaster career. Can't believe we didn't actually touch on Brand X! Keep up the good work :-)

    Ha, well there are those Brand X albums, of course. And his Big Band... I really do know too much about Phil Collins.

    thank you, i enjoyed reading that! how cool was lovely head?! it sounded soooo good! and alison had the perfect amount of drama about her when performing it, fantastic!

    This is my own personal review of the first night, the album and the general buzz surrounding everything. It's written for a large American audience, so it's kind of entry level Frappness. 

    I've included the video for Drew, some of my own artwork and an audio grab of Stranger. One of the pics is from this forum and I need a credit for it (anyone?)

    ABSOLUTELY EPIC is the only (2) word(s) i can think of right now to discribe how great the 2 gigs where.... The last 2 nights where the best days of my life ever (& not jokeing either) THANKS GOLDFRAPP I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.....


    stood at the front both nights (wednesday stood next to tweety) last night when alison sung Lovely Head she stood right in front of me & eugen when she did the screaming parts it was freaking awesome.....lol
