  • Yup , its the `in` thing at the moment , thinking of painting it in orange to match my curtains haha , scrumpets are in the toaster as I type .

Its the wood in the MIF that I love , even though its not fully finished in the pics , the wood , the cutback scoops above the windows and the almost industrial upright support thingies . I love architecture even at the worst of times but this is the best of times , "Intimate Goldfrapp gig + Architecture Porn = Happiness" .....ahem

  • This seems like it may be even more intimate than Bristol.  Sheesh!  I feel like Goldfrapp is really honoring their Britsh/European fans with these three concerts.

  • When I say "intimate" I meant the music & atmosphere is intimate (as opposed to an arena) , my extension is bloody massive .

whereas i am lucky enough to possess an extension which is both massive, yet ideally suited to intimate functions.

What is done in the dark will always come to light
  • Right then, you crazy kids, how many of that army of Frapptopians do you think we can arrange to meet up in one place at one time, before, after or between the two gigs? We've had big crowds before at things like Eden but this could be a record breaker.

The hugs alone will take ridiculous amount of time! :D

  • A wise man once said (many years ago) : Good things come to those who wait.....
So i'm defiantly going to battle my travel-sickness & go see GOLDFRAPP LIVE next time they tour the U.K..
No questions asked..... Cause 8 years & not having seen them live takes the biscuit & is slowly (but seems quickly lately) driving me insane..... ~X(

The only good thought I can fire back at you is that unlike some bands that doesn't mean you've missed 8 tours.

Where this lot are concerned 'sporadic' can be a very apt touring term!

  • I thought I read somewhere Alison is not a massive fan of the strains and rigors associated with touring, did I imagine that? It's not all glamor on the road and a lot of people get very worn down by it, it's a constant pressure to be able to do every gig better than the last isn't it.
    It's a re-creation

  • Yeah, I'd wager to our view of a touring band from this side of the stage is probably very different to the realities for them!

  • Absolutely! Did you ever and I'm sure you did see Hazel O'Connor in Breaking Glass? Well that gives an inetersting perspective on the not so glamourous side of the music industry, albiet a fictionlised one, but I am often reminded of the last 15 minutes or so of said film when considering how glamorous or not it must be to be big in the music industry...

  • Consider me and Chrissy confirmed! Although I've no idea what time we're getting there or what we're doing about getting back to liverpool afterwards haha! That can all wait!
