  • Oh my god, I could feel something coming the last few days! The one time I am flying and am without internet they post this!

So exciting, looks like a surreal era! iamamiwhoami anyone?
  • Also do you think that's Alison, or a model?
  • And finally the wallpaper from the main page: Link

  • Also is this the album cover? The 'goldfrappmusic' instagram account would suggest so, but it doesn't have the goldfrapp logo like the rest of them
  • They're baiting us atm. It'll be interesting.

But the same image from goldfrapp.com has the logo ;)
  • The symmetry reminds me of the Strict Machine video

And in their masters chamber, they gather for their feast.

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ.
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit.
Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
  • Well that's encouraging. A bit more out there than HF or TOU, perhaps?
  • ^ Yah, I would think so.  Changing the Goldfrapp home page sure seems to be a sign.  Funny, though, that the home page doesn't seem to be anything more than a link to all the social networks.  Am I missing something?
  • So, weird.  I was fooling around with the new home page for Goldfrapp and somehow came up with this.  I have no idea what I did to get there but it is interesting.  It seems like it is only supposed to be accessed by the owner of the page?

  • There was also this little page too.. but nothing seems to come up in the search apart from the link to this forum?

Getting some iamamiwhoami 'Y' vibes... Is this not the best Christmas present ever?

  • I totally had a feeling that this was going to happen! I called it! Lol.

Good to see that they're keeping the Goldfrapp logo/font style, as I remember Alison mentioning that they almost got rid of it for Tales of Us. Also, funny to see them using Squarespace - the same thing I use for my own website! Ha! Love it. Great minds think alike ;)

As for the artwork, I'm getting a vibe reminiscent of Die Antwoord's album Ten$ion as well as Bjork's Homogenic. Even a little Ghost in the Shell in there. Overall, it's screaming next-level Supernature to me. I believe now more than ever that they're heading back into upbeat territory.

I'm still calling a Perfect Dark / Judas Remix / Thea atmosphere.

And if that's the case, perhaps they'll do a much longer album than the heartbreakingly short releases they usually churn out. I can only hope! Perhaps this album will bring in a steady stream of income and newfound public interest. I only wish them the best with this. Truly.

Though I swear, they really ought to cross the ocean this time for a more comprehensive tour. Hopefully the album is marketable enough where they can do such a thing and generate more interest.
