On the Jethro Tull wagon, this is 'Song for Jeffrey' from a performance as part of the 1968 Rolling Stones film Rock n Roll Circus. The guy on the right, in the white hat, is none other than Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath. Sabbath did not get their deal together until 1969 and Iommi spent about 2 weeks in Jethro Tull in a hiatus from Sabbath before returning to the fold and all the subsequent success. This is the only filmed evidence I know of him in Tull. Unusual in that he always plays a red or black Gibson SG ( left handed) and here he is playing a white Fender Stratocaster.
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ. Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit. Shall lure it back to cancal half a line, Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
I'm not sure how to read that, Serenity. If you are implying that I like them, errr, ... voluptuous I think is the courteous term, you are so very wrong. While they say they like them big in Maine since it keeps you warm in the winter and gives you shade in the summer, that is not me in the least. The two songs that best describe me are "Lean Woman Blues" (at least the title) and "Depserado". Neither are something I would be willing to describe further on the open plains. But, let me just say that there is a secret concerning lean women ... I wouldn't have it any other way.
As far as "All about the bass", I just liked the song. Really fine.
Loving the version of All About The Bass Whicky- a very Amy Winehouse take on it. Wanna get my jazz shoes out now and do a bit of a Bruce Forsythe move now.
