You lucky thing - I really wanted to catch him live as I'm loving the album but he's coming up this way at the mo.

I really didn't do jazz so it caught me by surprise as to just how much I've been enjoying it.

It was that albums fault that I recently got into the utterly amazing "Touch And Flee", the Neil Cowley Trio album. That's another you pair should have a listen to....

  • A topless female drummer. Can I get one of those in my house right now? Jokes about skin beaters but I will leave to others who I am sure will not disappoint.

I prefer to listen to mariachi or flamenco music while making masa.
If I were dead, could I do this?

  • SBTRKT's new one...Wonder Where We Land. Enjoying it so far.
  • On a first excited listen I was massively underwhelmed. Later I realised I was thinking about it and wanted another listen. Now, about a week later, I'm utterly obsessed with it and it's easily in my top list for the year.....

For me it's the perfect child of Carl Craig's "More Songs About Food And Revolutionary Art", System 7's "Point 3" era and Orbital around the "Times Fly" EP which has surprised me as much as it has pleased me considering my starting point with it.

It's even more surprising it was it was recorded semi-live in three days in the desert by two people with a modular synth and a sequencer each with no laptops or computers at all.

    What is it?

  • Long time since I've heard of Jellybean Stevil.  I did buy a 12" of his when he did a remix of 'The Mexican' by Babe Ruth.  One of my favourite bands from the past and Jenny Haan, the lead vocalist, had a voice that came for you like Leatherface with a chainsaw.! Enjoy !
