  • And for anyone who isn't keeping up, no I'm not about to do a Caligula.
  • I don't know if to read some things about warm up Frapp gigs or to wait 'till the release of the album... Oh, cruel life.

  • You want to wait.
If I were dead, could I do this?
  • Ha, it could be tempting experience - read all this stuff while listening to the new album :)

Aw, these are kind comments thank you. Serenity- SEN for the past 13 years. A whole range of subjects, pretty much everything except Art ( ironically, as that's my degree subject) Science and PE.
I feel heartbroken at leaving, given that I'm a typical loyal Taurus- type...it's taken a lot to push me to this decision after 18 months of unhappiness. But now it's made my head is in a good place and I'm feeling very optimistic, looking forward and keeping my options and ears open. I visited two schools today ( mainstream primaries), one of which I will be applying to.
I wish, Whispered, that I could retire 15 years earlier than planned ( and that's 8 years earlier than the loony govt reckon we should! ), but until that Glitter-Unicorn parks up on our drive and flies me away then I ( hopefully) still gotta be on the payroll. Supply teaching is an option, as is going private as a specialist teacher, as is leaving education altogether. Hey ho.
    But I'm good, I'm happy :)

You need a trip to see Goldfrapp at Somerset House in July :x
  • Once the date and pre-sales tickets are announced, you betcha! It had better not clash with my cousin's wedding....aaaaarghhhhhh ~X(
  • Think positive Kat....think positive....breathe.....
  • Look into my eyes, not around my eyes but into my eyes !
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ.
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit.
Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
  • Cupboardy is a word.
  • A big letter has just plopped onto the doormat. It says that I've been awarded an ill health retirement pension as I am deemed, "incapable of undertaking any paid employment".

Talk about ambivalent feelings! Now I have all the time in the world to chase Frapp, but neither the capability nor the money. Life, eh?

Was of those situations in life Whispered where you do not know which way to think. Good thing/bad thing?
Life, I have found, usually has a way of working itself out! You will have to let us know how it pans out but stay positive!

  • I'm approaching my third anniversary on the forum. Still a newbie!
I'm also approaching 4,000 posts. That's an average of just under 4 a day. Motor mouth !
Carpy ( @Carpathian -no longer a grazer in these fields) did 10,000 posts in 10 years on the old board. Who knows? We will need at least another album to get there !

  • Anybody have the Amazon Echo "Alexa"? I have one that I got as a gift and still haven't set it up. The fact that it records your commands and hovers in the 'cloud' has me a bit paranoid. It's always on, so is it always recording sound then? All the privacy breaches by the gov. (Aka corp.) has got me leary. My friends who have them seem to love them though...

  • Right to be paranoid IMO!
