Not entirely sure I'd belong on the annacalvi.net forum, now, TBH: there's a thread discussing a one-off Beyonce cover where they can't get past the open lustfulness, and I can't get past AC leaving in the gender marker "boy" as she sings it ...  So they're all "Anna... cheap lust/thrills? NOOOOO!" and I'm all "Anna ... boys ... huh???"

Well Ive found a hidden gem from the Anna Calvi blog. I knew she had been a band before her solo career and here it is. It wasnt great but everyone has to start somewhere. The band was called Cheap Hotel.

Good god. She is so brilliant. I just got home from first day at new job, for 4 hours sleep before going back again and that lovely picture has made me forget the stresses and strains of a day in new work (after 2 months off faffing about in Ireland) Thanks Hells, for keeping the thread alive with lovely new stuff :D
