One thing I’ve noticed about wearing a mask is when someone does smile at you for a small kindness, like letting them come past in a busy aisle, you can still see they have smiled as it changes the shape of, and lights up, their eyes.

We started watching the TV series Brittania, which was a dramatised account set around the Roman invasion of Britain. It used Donavan’s Hurdy Gordy man as it’s theme music in Series 1 and it really sticks with you.
