@Sartori - I started to enjoy it and then it became a real pain to get it finished. But I'm getting some fab reviews so I'm beaming :-D @iuventus - that's cool, you've been very good to me so no worries!

I love the remixes. But what i will say is there will probably be none as good as the Strict Machine and Ride a White Horse ones now. Well I'm only an amateur doing it for fun....

Aw thanks, mode_devotion! I'm the same as you - respect the original. My other stuff is here on my Cosmic Jukebox and I have to say the best remix/reinterpretation EVER...is Goldfrapp's version of Mode's halo.

I had a go at remixing Thea. There's a bit of an angry mob in there somewhere, so sit back, relax and grab a burning torch. http://thevibes.me/2013/09/24/thea-totem-mix/

Thea - Totem Mix by The Devious Corporation
@A_is_A now that you mention it, I can hear it too. @error60091 Portishead, maybe subconsciously. The biggest influences are Toyah's Anthem album (loved her when I was Little Sparky) and my years spent in The Hacienda. I was mining the pagan t…

Thea - the elusive
Thea is really growing on me now that I've got over the other songs. It's even my ear worm now for over a week.

That is so cool. Love it. Now, isn't Thea a grower once you get past the other songs on the album?

How did you get into Goldfrapp?
@stevil- hahaha. Thanks for sharing. I was naughty, DJing in Amsterdam in 1999. A DJ friend came over from the UK with illicit minidiscs of all the latest tunes. One of them was a prerelease of Utopia. It was the music I had always wanted to hear bu…

`Tales Of Us` - Reviews By Us
My song-by-song review (from the 'rank the songs' thread) and before the official lyrics were released... 1 DREW. Cold bed, glowing memories. Impossible not to get swept away on this one. The verse is so intimate, it's like waking up…

No, wonderful might not have been the right word, but I was hoping a song as beautiful as Clay might help you to deal with what happened, knowing that someone else went through what you are going through. It takes guts to share personal stuff like t…

I've got connections at the venue, so I could find out if Alison is attending the launch. This is called ligging, isn't it?

I'm taken aback at how the music for this album is chiming with eveyone. It's really a testament to how inspired the songs are, and how beautifully written, that they instantly move people. Funny how this started to develop with Felt Mount…

Stunning. Gender as an adventure, not as a label. The scene with the spangly dress gave me shivers (or chills if you speak Phoneshop) Beautifully done. I think Goldfrapp are going to be seen very differently when the movie is released.
