The Forum Soundtracking Your Sunday Afternoon.
Fantastic selections. You'd all do a great job programming a show. I suspect you may have had the same problem as me - only 28 tracks. I was able to scribble down well over 100 in a few minutes. One issue I had was reconciling long term favouri…

The Knife support Pussy Riot at Pukkelpop in 2013 with bouncing & Goldfrapp. Er, what?
I was at Electric Picnic as well and The Knife's show was simply jaw dropping. Totally unexpected, given the nature of Shaking the Habitual, but I found that the whole thing was so warm, energising and disarming, it'll remain long in the m…

8th June - BBC6Music - Alison Goldfrapp 'Soundtracking Your Sunday Afternoon'
^Good point. That seems to happen from time to time with listings on the website. Don't know why. What a sublime selection of songs. No great surprises but none the worse for that. Alison had highlighted Yma Sumac on a radio show a few years a…

That's the mystery at the moment. I'm wondering if we'll get at least 2 support bands given such an early start time,

Alison has voiced a trailer for it. Heard it on 6Music during the Radcliffe & Maconie show. I'm sure she said something about exotic treats as well as 60s soundtracks etc.

Goldfrapp score Medea
An intriguing project. Medea is such a harrowing drama, it'll be interesting to hear the tone of the music. I just wish I knew about it when booking trips to London in July & August. Oh well, at least the live screening is on at my local …

Recent and upcoming gigs
This year has been the most disappointing one I can remember for gigs. In recent years, I would have been to at least a dozen or so by mid-May. In 2014, I've been to 4. But what quality. Anna Calvi & 3 Goldfrapp. But things are looking up…

Many thanks, Tattmaylor. Just started to watch some of these out and both Seachange and Samaris are superb. Look forward to checking out the rest.

The new album may be her best yet & in 'Prince Johnny', she's probably made her most beguiling & accessible song. A mesmerising performance on Friday's 'Later', too, especially those final moments. It's on …

The Great Escape Festival, Brighton (not Goldfrapp related)
I was there for 1 day back in 2010, especially to see Katzenjammer. In fact, it wasn't even the whole day as I didn't get in to Brighton until 4.30pm. It was a case of getting to the Queen's Hotel as quickly as I could to exchange my …

After my tribulations in Brighton, I'm playing it safe (I think) and have booked in to the Travelodge. I've never had the problems with them that dcbaxter has had & let's hope that continues.

Glastonbury video 2008 full gig.... Who has it?
I only have the shorter 33 minute excerpt that was broadcast on the BBC Red Button service. Didn't release that the full set was available.

It's an early gig too? Listed as 5pm doors instead of usual 7ish. Which suggests there may be a few other bands on the bill. Hopefully some good ones to justify the prices we're paying! I'll be there, as will Laura, sitting in row F…

Oh, and welcome! Who did you meet in Brighton? Hi HJ. Appy61 has just pointed out to me the post of photos from The Brighton gig. Unless I am very much mistaken, it was KeithJ_gmb who spoke to me after the gig. Sorry if I bumbled some old crap that …

She's playing a few festivals this summer. I'd like to think there will be more UK dates in the autumn on the back of that.

Goldfrapp at Glastonbury!
The BBC web site was good for streaming the complete sets of many acts last year & I recorded Portishead, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and Steve Mason. I have high hopes we'll get the Goldfrapp set this year.

Have seen the stage times. It is an 8.30 start but it says 10.15 finish. Given that previous gigs were only 80-90 minutes, I'll be heading off hoping that we get more songs. Unlikely, but a tantalising prospect.
