Saw John Grant at the Brixton Academy on Tuesday night. We were there almost exactly 1 year ago for the last night of the Silver Eye tour. Pete Hall was there, as were Mark and Jayne, all as they were that night in 2017. John was fabulous. Energetic…

You will have seen from my Twitter feed that Cham is doing a benefit gig for me in December. I also have another guest that I cannot mention as yet. I intend to video it so I will get you a copy. Ooh La La!

So, for all Chamonix Aspen fans, she's just released a new music video called Personal Shopper (sung to the tune of Tiny Dancer. It doesn't really kick in until 3.05 apart from a brief appearance at the start but the first section is film…

Interestingly, over here in the U.K., there is a growing movement of people who refuse to pay the TV license fee. If you own a TV, you have to pay this fee and it is supposed to fund the BBC as the national broadcaster. The commercial stations get n…

Well, it was a busy weekend. Caro Emerald was excellent. A very infectious and dancy show with a lot of Latin influence. Here's a little film I shot of Caro singing 'Close to me'. The Floyd Effect on Saturday gave another polished …

I saw this pic on the internet last week and was amazed that there were people looking at it and could not see what everyone else saw at first glance, to the point where someone posted it with a red outline around the image that most people saw str…

All revolution starts with oppressed people taking to the streets. Failure to do that just guarantees the cycle of corruption and oppression will continue. The story we heard over here about the unarmed black guy in his apartment being shot in the h…

He's more Iuv's type PG. He seems to be a really nice guy, and I love his rich baritone, but I'm convinced his beard would tickle.

ELO were fabulous. Mind you, they've had 50 years to perfect their craft and, like Goldfrapp, the reproduction live of the music was first class. 19 songs, 13 people on stage. Going into a busy weekend this week with Caro Emerald on Friday, the…

My box set (No 258) has a gatefold album. I hadn't noticed as I have never opened it. It's a bit like Schrodinger's album as I have no idea as to what is depicted inside the gatefold! Perhaps an inaugural play of the vinyl is called f…

Loving this new music from Neneh Cherry - Kong. So dreamy. It sounds like it belongs on the soundtrack of Luther which is no surprise as it is partly in collaboration with 3D from Massive Attack.

We also have an original hand coloured Lithograph 'Daphne' by Austrian artist Ernst Fuchs on the wall as well as one of Mrs UT's oil paintings '5 Little Pigs' from her Nursery Rhymes Stripped Bare series.

On the same wall is a copy of The Snake Charmer by Henri Rousseau, another favourite. The dining room is decorated in a turn of the century style (19th to 20th), so paintings in this style fit very well.
