  • I just got the latest Florence + The Machine LP, Dance Fever, which was the reason I got the turntable in the first place.  It was worth it.  It is incredible in every way.  She's done it, again.  Turned out another round of music unlike anything she's previously recorded.  Even her voice plays a new role.

It really just takes the breath away in every way.  Even the recording is so perfect that the LP comes across perfectly.

In every way, she is an infinity of expressions.

  • Very much agree. I'll admit it took a few listens to really sink in, but once it did I became addicted. Not a weak link in the whole thing.

  • I know, right?  It was "Free" that bowled me over.
  • If anyone bought the Dance Fever digital download, I'm wondering if it used the 14 individual photos for each song?  It seems unlikely since most albums just use the cover photo for all songs and you know how humanity is.  Do it by rote.

It's a damn shame if they didn't.  The photos for each song would be just perfect.  Of course, I've found a way around.  ;~O

I don't ever use the album cover artwork.  Too much fun to have lots of photos!

  • I was right.  I bought the mp3 files as well.  Nothing but the cover art.  Crazy! 14 perfect photos to use but, no.

I guess, if they wanted to repair the situation at this point, they should have the email addresses of everyone that ordered the digital version.  They could just send them the individual icons or, heck, sell them separately.  Considering everybody only puts the album cover on their works (which, to me, is a sin and a shame), that would be fair.

That's the worst thing, I think, about the loss of the album culture.  Not so much the LP but all of the goodies that you could dig into.

They even have the names of the songs on each of the photos.  Sometimes I wonder if they are concerned that they will confuse the listener if the don't put the name of the album on every damn song.  So, they could add "Dance Fever" across the top of the photo since the name of the song is at the bottom.

  • Gotta love her.  "A fairy tale in 14 songs".  Perfect!  You just have to remember that fairy tales were always written in and about dark times.  Which is also perfect considering the last two years.

  • There wouldn't be anyone here that would like a ticket to the FATM concert in Boston, Mass on Sept 14, would there?  If so, DM me.  It's choice seats.

  • Yas, i love FATM and this album is so perfect! i get the deluxe hardbook edition and its a really magnific album.
  • She could drag emotions out of a rock.
  • Damn but she's addictive.  Free pretty much says it all.  The other one that one can't help but dance to is Spectrum.  The video cracks me up every time.  It's just as magnificent as she is.  There are just so many that one can't help but dance to.  Incredible!

  • In the 10 years of this song's release, I've never heard a live version. I genuinely didn't think there would be one, as it's a Calvin Harris song Featuring Florence. Quite a treat :)

  • apparently the album is now "complete" with the release of this new song mermaid. If this album gets a re-release with the song added i'm gonna be so angry! lollololol
  • You ever figure out Florence's motivations regarding anything I'd love to hear it.
