I know thy works, and where thou dwellest !
  • Revelations 2:13 KJV
Or, put it another way, we know where you live. Well, actually, generally we do not. With a good memory and some research we can tell quite a lot about each other, various threads give clues to locations and some of us have met at gigs and other events but sometimes it would be interesting to know whereabouts in the world each other are so you can conceive things like time differences and other cultural difference so as to become more 3 dimensional.
I live in the UK, in England, in the South East in Essex in what is called locally the Tendring peninsula. Appy61 is my next door neighbour.
If you want to disclose where you live for the benefit of others, feel free, even if it is only country, or remain enigmatic, like the Mona Lisa's smile !

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ.
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit.
Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.

In parts Whicky, but not in depth. I know you live in Maine but others probably don't, certainly newbies!

Wow LuDux. I would never thought you lived in Lithuania. (Providing you are not pulling a fast one obviously)!

  • Well, me speaking Lithuanian was a long shot !
Guilty as charged. Wrong genderisation? Wrong tense? Wrong everything?

  • I did make a promise that if you made this thread...

I'm from Northern Ireland, or as it is less affectionately known, "Norn Iron". (Makes sense if you know the accent).
Of course I live mere minutes from the border so whether I qualify as UK or ROI is anybody's guess.

Guilty as charged. Wrong genderisation? Wrong tense? Wrong everything?

For starters, we start all new sentences with capital letter, just like you!

pakankamai teisingas is quite..  mechanical translation and doesn't sound right, probably because -as ending here is male ending.. and it's not clear if you are teisingas refers to male or female word.. I guess closest saying to fair enough would be tebunie ~ tegu būna (kaip sakai) = let it be (as you say)
