Campaign for Real Sheet Music
  • So you can get a few sheets from "Music Notes" and related sites, but they are so rudimentary as to be worthless. I want music that will let me lay like Sandra Ghemdib. Or our very own subrussian. Anyone else?

  • Goldfrapp song book would be just great! As in you know a song book with the sheet music, lyrics, a few rare photographs. There are lots of music song books out there, I hope Mute or whoever else has the good sense to endorse such an item.

  • Wow!  Just ran across this from 2005.  And, I like Chris' suggestion.  Put it in with something like the box set.  Now, even though I'm not getting one, there's a campaign worth attempting.

  • Somebody was selling what they purported to be original scores of Kate Bush studio sessions. Do such things exist? Would they for Goldfrapp?
If I were dead, could I do this?
  • I would have thought so, but I would imagine that either they are in the Wil Gregory studio or with Mute? I only guess, someone is welcome to speculate further...

Remember the tweet pic just before the Union Chapel gig - that showed sheet music for "Melancholy Sky". And since Will is a proper composer and all, and they use orchestras, I'm sure that full scores exist for all their songs
  • I remember that, but getting all nerdy on you that was Hackney St. Johns ;)

    Thanks, B_M,

A neat feature of this site is that if you click on the "Play" button, you get to hear how the music sounds on a piano/keyboard.

Sadly, this illustrates how impoverished the arrangement is. Like a lot of "pop" sheet music, basically its written for people who can't play beyond a beginner's level. I want more! Although technically I could play a "Grade 8+" arrangement,  I'm just hopeless at working it out for myself.

I wonder if we have a contact address or email for Alison, Will or Mute?

    Any ideas?
