Seventh Tardis - The Doctor Who thread
If I am going to criticise, it was derivative. As well as the Fantastic Voyage similarity, and the refuse bay scene on the Death Star in Star Wars, we also had what was very close to a Vulcan mind meld between the Dr and the Dalek. I did enjoy seei…

Just watched episode 2 - Into the Dalek. Along the lines of Fantastic Voyage for anyone who remembers that ( and Raquel Welch! ) Loved the bit where Ross is killed and then his 'remains' are dumped into the organic refuse pit, which the Do…

I filling up here! You don't have to try Iuv, we all (well most) like you. You should try that film. If it was made in the USA, it would have has Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Swartznegger in it. This wasn't, so has Sean Pertwee, son of ol…

Dog Soldiers. A platoon of British soldiers on exercise in Scotland run into a Glen full of Werwolves. Visceral, black humour and a good yarn. The creatures are very good. Well worth a watch.

Wow, Iuv ( no pun intended) we have something in common! We will be best buds before you know it ! ;) I think I can explain my attachment to NFE. I have heard it many, many times. It was released in 1980 and in 1982, I got my first well paid job. I…

As I have said before, Never Forever is one of my favourite albums ever. Just goes to show we all roll differently. There are a couple of good tracks on Lionheart IMHO (WOW and Hammer Horror), but the popular view is it was rushed out to make hay on…

Complain about the management as they go into a long and protracted period of dormancy. ( what's that? ,they already are? Oh!)

And in Kate's own words, at that time, her greatest work to date. A seminal piece.

I agree Pooka. Wuthering was an outstanding track at the time. A breath of fresh air after seemly endless spitting and the sheer raw sound of punk. After all this time, still a very interesting track but not my favourite from those early years. It s…
