Ha, ha. Enjoyed that. I went to Tombstone a couple of years ago and the gravestone epitaphs there are funny. One of my favourites: Here lies Lester Moore 4 slugs from a 44 No Les no more. Really must start that funeral songs thread.

Mara's version of Ex Factor by Lauren Hill performed at St John's church, Hackney for the Child Hope charity. Featuring the choir and church organist Annie Lydford, this version gives a fresh interpretation of this song and is so delicate,…

Battlefield 4 looks as though it's just a mess of noise and nastiness. A bit like life then ?

RIP
Today would have been Jimmy Hendrix's 72nd birthday. Tuesday was the 23rd anniversary of Freddie Mercury's death. Both true greats, both sorely missed. Those were they days of our lives !

Me to Low. In fact, I have never seemed to pick up the video game/ on line game bug. I could only take 30 minutes of Space Invaders/Breakout at the pub. That's showing my age! I did take to Pinball for a while but, ultimately not cerebrally cha…

Will digital music kill the album? And is that good?
Some of those 'fillers' are great by the way. When Black Sabbath recorded the album Paranoid, they got to the end and the engineer said, 'we've got about 4 minutes left and we still do not have a single' (probably in a broad…

Will digital music kill the album? And is that good?
This does resonate in a way with the thread about vinyl. In the 'good ol days', you had to buy an artists whole album, the whole 'concept' as the artist invisaged it, usually prompted by a single release. Sometime, albums were al…

Just the old supply and demand graph I suppose. Interesting thing is that as soon as Mute release these back on vinyl, the value of those albums out there will plummet. Just the possibility of their release will suppress the value of existing albums…
